VIVIAN(XIAOFAN) LIU 🐈

ABOUT

Vivian Liu is a designer based in New York and China. Her work moves between branding, typography, editorial, and fashion-driven visual concepts, often exploring how ideas can shift between structure and emotion.

Currently studying at the School of Visual Arts (SVA), she focuses on translating complex ideas into clear and tangible visual systems. Outside of design, she enjoys photography, handcraft, and tennis, and often collects small moments of inspiration—some of which eventually develop into projects.😊

MAERSK

Maersk is a Denmark-based global shipping and logistics company and one of the largest container shipping operators in the world. The brand represents reliability, global connectivity, and the complex infrastructure that supports international trade. Through its vast network of ports, vessels, and logistics services, Maersk plays a critical role in moving goods across continents.

This project explores a visual identity system inspired by global shipping routes and maritime navigation. Drawing from the geometry of shipping containers, port grids, and ocean routes, the design develops a structured graphic language built on modular typography, strong geometric forms, and a restrained color palette. The system reflects the precision and scale of global logistics while creating a clear and adaptable identity across digital platforms, packaging, and environmental graphics.
