ABOUT
Vivian Liu is a designer based in New York and China. Her work moves between branding, typography, editorial, and fashion-driven visual concepts, often exploring how ideas can shift between structure and emotion.
Currently studying at the School of Visual Arts (SVA), she focuses on translating complex ideas into clear and tangible visual systems. Outside of design, she enjoys photography, handcraft, and tennis, and often collects small moments of inspiration—some of which eventually develop into projects.😊

TWO DOLLAR RADIO
The design is rooted in the culture of independent publishing—just as a cheap radio can produce a loud signal, niche voices can also create wide and lasting influence. Based on this idea, the project draws inspiration from the tonal qualities of radio noise to develop a playful dynamic typographic system. Through collage imagery, expressive typography, and flexible layouts, the visual language reflects the publisher’s raw and experimental spirit while creating a more narrative and energetic reading experience for everyday recipes.
