Based on The Carrier Bag Theory of Fiction, this project reimagines reading as an interactive experience rather than a passive act. It addresses the challenge of reader fatigue by transforming the text into a playful, engaging journey. Through layered visuals and narrative pacing, the design encourages curiosity and sustained attention, allowing readers to experience the essay in a more dynamic and immersive way.
The UI/UX system is built around “Reading as Discovery.” Each section introduces riddles and word-based puzzles that unlock the next chapter, turning progression into an active process. Modular layouts, interactive typography, and gamified transitions create rhythm and anticipation, making the act of reading feel exploratory rather than linear. The result is a reading experience that invites participation, reduces monotony, and deepens engagement with the text.
